Aircraft Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Well-Known California Coast
A helicopter hovering above a crowded coastal coastline abruptly started spinning wildly, finally dropping height and plunging into a line of palm fronds as onlookers watched.
Footage shared online depict the chopper commencing to spiral above the shoreline then descending near the border of the shore, where it becomes wedged between palm trees and a set of stairs adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
The Huntington Beach fire department said five people were rushed to the hospital involving two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the accident on Saturday.
Three people on the road were harmed. Details on their injuries were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.
